WaterAid is an international charity dedicated
to helping people escape the stranglehold of poverty and disease
caused by living without safe water and sanitation. WaterAid
works in partnership with local organisations in 15 countries
in Africa and Asia. It also works to influence governments'
water and sanitation policies to serve the interests of vulnerable
people and believes that this approach makes it possible for
communities to sustain a better quality of life, and is an essential
step in the eradication of poverty. Water Aid works through
its partners and country offices in 15 countries in Africa and
Asia. WaterAid projects use low cost technologies while communities
are encouraged to take responsibility for their own projects
to ensure long term benefits. |
