CPF's primary mandate is to identify and cater
to the participatory training / research needs of Communities
and NGOs in India and to encourage the people to assert themselves
and work towards realizing the entitlements due to them. With
communities in the steering position CPF believes that sustainable
forest management would become a reality in near future. The
Centre provides a platform for regular interaction between the
communities, NGOs and policy makers working on forestry issues
in the state. |
| Activities: |
Lobbying and Advocacy for implementation of pro-poor
forestry policies, partnership and networking with grassroots
NGOs, Undertaking research related to livelihoods of marginalized
section of the community, documentation of best practices in
forestry programmes, etc. |
| CSPP Activities: |
CPF is working with the CSPP to to better utilise
its research based evidence in its policy
reform activities and also to help it to exchange experiences
and work with other CSOs in the field. |
