Profile: CPRC is an international partnership of universities, research institutes and NGOs established in 2000 with initial funding from the UK's Department for International Development. CPRC has the overreaching aim to challenge existing ideas about poverty and enhance the understanding of policymakers and other researchers about the processes that underpin chronic poverty. It also aims to strengthen the capacities of researchers and research and advocacy organizations to document, analyze, and develop policy recommendations about chronic poverty.
Activities: CPRC produces policy lessons and operational methodologies that make policy more effective in assisting the chronically poor.
CSPP Activities: CPRC is working with the CSPP on two initiatives: on media training for policy influence and Partnership Brokering.
