The Programme has paid a significant amount of effort into this topic, with a large programme of work on the role of regional integration. Particular areas we are interested in include looking into the effects of the following on growth and development:

  • Globalisation and education;
  • WTO rules and international trade (e.g. dynamic effects);
  • migration (including WTO rules); and
  • Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

We have also examined what would be a good development package at the WTO.
