This project will develop a paper aiming to conceptualise the development agenda at the G-20 from an African perspective. The paper aims to influence the G-20 Working Group on Development and the debate on how the G-20 incorporates development around the Seoul Summit.

This project aims to work with southern think tanks to develop a framework that is intended to encourage G20 countries to implement coherent medium term policy frameworks to attain a mutually beneficial growth path and avoid future crises. This publication is not to replace ODI’s G20 development charter which is broader but to flag up issues / markers for the period until next G20 meeting in Seoul and in particular in relation to the G20 growth framework (and that it is unclear how non-G20 countries will liaise with G20) whose policy decisions will affect non-G20 countries.
