ODI are working with the British Council on this five year EC funded project providing technical assistance to the Sindh Education Reform Programme in Pakistan (SERP) focussing on budget reform in the education sector at the provincial and district levels. The Programme aims to: strengthen Sindh education sector management and governance; improve access especially among girls and rural children through effective use of public facilities, improved design and implementation of demand side programs and effective partnerships with the private and non-governmental sector, and; improve the quality of teaching of learning.

The UK office of the Japan International Coorperation Agency (JICA) has commissioned ODI to a carry out a study on Japan's ODA in order to help inform future ODA policy discussions within the Japanese government.

ODI was requested to undertake a range of activities for a UNEP Poverty and Environment Initiative in Malawi and Rwanda, including conducting technical reviews of environmental fiscal policy and expenditure analyses, and providing training and capacity building on the integration of environment and sustainable natural resources management issues into budgetary processes.
