    This report contains the findings and lessons of the final evaluation of three DFID programmes in Latin America: the Latin America Markets and International Trade (LAMIT) programme; the Political Systems and Public Sector (PSPS) programme and the ENLACE social inclusion programme. The LAMIT and PSPS programmes were the principal components of the Latin America Regional Assistance Plan (RAP) whose implementation began in the early months of 2005.

    Based on the latest draft modalities for agriculture and NAMA (non-agricultural market access), how would small vulnerable economies in Africa and elsewhere be affected? What are African interests at WTO and is there a joint African position? What is the role of South Africa and to what extent do South Africa’s interests mirror those of other African countries? This event hoped to encourage discussion on these and other questions around the implications of the WTO Doha Round impasse for Africa.
