This side event will provide a forum for dialogue on current efforts to develop and operationalize the Green Climate Fund with a special focus on Africa. Donors, civil society and government officials will discuss their respective past experience with convention funds and provide concrete recommendations.

This small expert meeting will presented a forum for a candid dialogue on various efforts to strengthen capacities to plan for climate change, and access finance to implement climate compatible development strategies.
