This workshop saught to draw on a range of expertise to analyse the current develpments in Sudan, within the context of the region, and to identify scenarios for Sudan's future and the factors that could make each more or less likely to occur. Sara was a key speaker at this workshop.
World Vision and Save the Children, in association with the Humanitarian Practice Network (HPN) and the Sahel Working Group, invite you to discuss the findings of "Ending the Everyday Emergency", a new report on the challenge of strengthening resilience in the Sahel. Wendy Fenton, HPN Coordinator will be chairing the event.
This discussion, hosted by the Associate Parliamentary Group on Sudan and South Sudan, will focus on the important events in South Sudan and Sudan from the past year, including the achievements and challenges for both countries. Crucially, it offers an opportunity to look forward to the futures of South Sudan and Sudan, and the role the UK Government can play in contributing towards peace and development. Sara Pantuliano is one of the panelists for this event.
This distinguished panel analysed the multitude of socio-economic concerns that need to be addressed in South Sudan as well as looking more broadly at the requirements of building a new state. Sara Pantuliano provided an overview of the humanitarian concerns in the country.
ODI/RAPID will work with The Islam Research Programme (IRP) project office to provide policy engagement capacity development support to IRP Research projects in nine different countries. The aim is to help each team develop their research communication skills, to enable them to package and deliver their findings to policy-makers (particularly Dutch Embassy staff) and other relevant stakeholders for policy influence.
