The way we work - In Partnership

These partnerships help produce more relevant and context-specific research and can aid in policy engagement and research dissemination.

Tasked with establishing institutional partners for the ODI, RAPID has spent several years developing the Evidence-based Policy in Development Network (ebpdn), which includes over twenty partner organisations around the world. We have also worked closely with the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC) to establish an online community of practice on an evaluation technique known as Outcome Mapping.

Within ODI, RAPID works with other programmes to lock together high quality applied research, practical policy advice, and policy-focused dissemination and debate. In particular, we work closely with the Social Development programme on issues of gender and with the International Economics in Development Group (IEDG) on issues of trade.

The institute's Communications and IT teams also collaborate with the RAPID programme to share knowledge gained from practice.
