An Assessment of the Developmental Effectiveness of Food Aid and the Effects of its Tying Status
Substantial work has already been undertaken to assess the developmental effectiveness of food aid. This DAC assessment will, thus, focus in particular on the issue of tying food aid. It will concentrate on development food aid, its key objectives, including promoting long-term food security, and the cost and benefits of tying versus untying.
Institutions in Development: Frameworks and Current Debates
A study commissioned by the Aga Khan Foundation to review approaches to institutions and organizations in development. The study looks at differing approaches to the conceptual frameworks in the academic literature, in donor policies and in practice, and proposes a framework to approach institutions and organizations.
