The role of the Chronic Poverty Advisory Network (CPAN) is to increase awareness of chronic poverty, ensuring that chronically poor people are not forgotten by policy makers, and to use evidence to improve the effectiveness of policies and programmes at reducing chronic poverty.

Transforming the lives of adolescent girls

This project aims to improve development outcomes for girls and young women, breaking inter-generational poverty, and providing a catalyst for change, the returns of which will ripple through wider society.

Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance - Phase 2

Projects - January 2012 to April 2014
The purpose of ACCRA is to increase the use of evidence by governments (specifically in Ethiopia, Uganda and Mozambique) and other development and humanitarian actors in developing and implementing policies and interventions that improve poor people's adaptive capacity, with a specific focus on climate related hazards, change and variability – both in the short and long-term.

Preparing minds for leading large scale coalition campaigning with the UK public

Projects - January 2012 to April 2012
There is now shared recognition of the need to shift dominant public understandings of global poverty and social justice. However this has not been explicitly tried before. It will require some different analysis and practice, plus a willingness to explore ideas that may be challenging and new. This project will provide a shared awareness needed to re-define dominant public understandings of global poverty and social justice.
