This project aims to improve development outcomes for girls and young women, breaking inter-generational poverty, and providing a catalyst for change, the returns of which will ripple through wider society.

There is now shared recognition of the need to shift dominant public understandings of global poverty and social justice. However this has not been explicitly tried before. It will require some different analysis and practice, plus a willingness to explore ideas that may be challenging and new. This project will provide a shared awareness needed to re-define dominant public understandings of global poverty and social justice.

HPG served as part of the Reference Group, which provides an advisory role to the PSO Thematic Learning Programme (TLP). The aim is to support PSO in carrying out research process on the roles and functions of INGOs and NNGOs in South Sudan.

This project will provide a rigorous evidence-based assessment of the current social protection system in Kazakhstan.
