This project will analyse and synthesise the current state of knowledge and underlying evidence on the relationship between governance and (inclusive) growth in an accessible and clear format; iii) better understand the political economy of (shared) growth and different pathways to economic transformation; and iii) to distill some practical guidance for teams engaging in (inclusive) growth diagnostics.

Policy influence and communications capacity building for the Islam Research Programme

Projects - May 2012 to December 2012
ODI/RAPID will work with The Islam Research Programme (IRP) project office to provide capacity development support to IRP Research projects in nine different countries. The aim is to help each team develop their research communication skills, to enable them to package and deliver their findings to policy-makers (particularly Dutch Embassy staff) and other relevant stakeholders for policy influence.

The Methods Lab: Improving practice and building capacity for impact evaluation in AusAID

The Methods Lab is a four-year action-learning collaboration between ODI, AusAID and Better Evaluation. It seeks to develop approaches to address challenges in the design, implementation and use of impact evaluations in AusAID and learn lessons which may be applicable elsewhere.

Maximising the impact of youth entrepreneurship support in different contexts

Youth entrepreneurship is a key tool to develop the human capital necessary for the future, unleash the economic potential of youth, and promote sustainable growth. This research project aims to provide guidance on how youth entrepreneurship support initiatives need to be prioritised and adapted in different contexts in order to maximise impact.

Evaluating the evidence of crisis impacts on girls’ wellbeing

This project updates Plan International’s annual State of the World’s Girls’ Report’s (2009) findings and specifically aims to address the question of what can be done to protect girls’ rights and make sure that the burden of the economic crisis does not fall disproportionately on girls and young women.

Public works training course - Congo Brazzaville

OPML has commissioned Anna McCord to provide training services on the public works component of a training course being run by OPML on social transfers and labour intensive public works which is being held in Congo-Brazzaville and funded by UNICEF Congo-Brazzaville.
