We provide practical political economy analysis and tools for policymakers and practitioners to support more politically informed strategies and programmes that lead to better sector outcomes.

Political economy has become part of the development vocabulary but there is frustration that political economy analysis has not delivered more operational insights. To move this agenda forward, political economists need to work more closely with practitioners and direct analysis to more clearly defined questions and practical solutions within specific sectors. Through its research and advisory services, PoGo supports sector and governance specialists throughout the policy and programme cycle. Our current focus is on training, testing and refining our sector political economy framework and developing methods for integrating political economy and evaluation practice.
