Advanced Course on Crisis, Recovery and Transitions

Date: 13 19 October 2013
Venue: Tsinghua University, Beijing, China

The past decade has seen a sharp increase in the number of countries affected by and recovering from large scale disasters, especially in the Asia Pacific region. A parallel growth has also occurred in the number of professionals working in the fields of humanitarian assistance, post-crisis recovery and development.

The Humanitarian Policy Group and the School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) at Tsinghua University are partnering to offer the second Advanced Course on Crisis, Recovery and Transitions.

Over one week, this course aims to facilitate learning and guided reflection on these crucial issues and the dynamics professionals are subject to in the Asia Pacific region. Participants will engage in a participatory learning process that combines lectures with small group discussions and exercises, with the possibility of publishing an analytical piece.

If you are interested in attending the course, please complete the application form and submit it to hpgadmin@odi.org.uk. The deadline is 8 September 2013.
