Her current research focuses on pro-poor growth, food security, social protection, risk and vulnerability and natural resource booms.

Laura is a development economist. Prior to joining ODI in March 2012, Laura worked in Colombia doing research on housing and resettlements policies, armed conflict and social policies. She has also conducted research on food price impacts on households using survey data.
Her current research interests include the measurement of progress and multidimensional well-being.
She holds and Msc. in Development Economics and Policy from the University of Manchester.
