ODI is part of an alliance of organisations working within the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) to support decision-makers in designing and delivering climate compatible development.

We combine research, advisory services and knowledge-sharing in support of locally owned and managed policy processes. We work in partnership with decision-makers in the public, private and non-governmental sectors nationally, regionally and globally. We:

  • respond to requests for support from developing countries
  • offer an integrated range of services including research, advisory services, capacity-building and knowledge management support
  • build institutional capacity in developing countries and increase their ability to participate in and influence international climate talks
  • bring people together to work in partnership
  • maintain our commitment to sharing knowledge.

Other CDKN partners include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fundación Futuro Latinoamericano, SouthSouthNorth, LEAD and INTRAC.

ODI leads on research and knowledge management aspects of CDKN with support from regional partners, whilst also providing support and input into the other areas. Funded by the UK Department for International Development and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
