Is it time to ban the term 'dissemination'?

'Using the word ‘dissemination’ often implies a form of ‘lazy’ communication: like throwing a stone in a pond, there are ripples, but you are never quite sure where it is going to land and what it might do. It's time we caught up with the new era of research communications.'
