The
training and study tour of an African Ministers’ Council on Water
(AMCOW) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) provided a closer look at
effective climate adaptation measures in the German water sector. The
aim was to share experiences and approaches to climate resilience in
Europe and Africa, while also enhancing awareness of AMCOW’s Strategic
Framework for Water Security and Climate Resilient Development.
The Framework was developed by GWP in collaboration with CDKN as part of the joint GWP and AMCOW initiative on Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP). The Framework sets out key activities that can help integrate climate resilience into planning and decision making processes, thereby increasing investment in water security."
