Non-state humanitarianism: setting a research agenda

The ‘Non-state Humanitarianism’ network seeks to examine the myriad dimensions of humanitarian action in a transnational historical context. This workshop sought to  develop a broad research agenda for the network and understand what questions to ask, what research themes to prioritise, and how to maximise its future impact. Eleanor Davey spoke on the Humanitarian Policy Group's Global history of modern humanitarian action’ project.

Global Leaders Conference on Humanitarian Standards

The Conference sought to bring together influential humanitarian leaders from across the globe to discuss issues concerning quality and accountability of humanitarian action through the use of standards, to provide feedback from the JSI Stakeholder Consultation process and to consider wider issues related to standards and certification and to check-in on the SCHR Certification project. Sara Pantuliano moderated the session entitled "Panel debate: Why humanitarian standards matter".

Achieving development and addressing the drivers of land use change

Instead of driving land use change, the global commodity trade can provide an opportunity for economic development without deforestation. At this event speakers will share experiences to help governments, businesses, and consumers address the drivers of land use change in the tropics. This side event will also include the newest release of the Indonesian Moratorium map.

Financing climate change: Africa's access to convention funds
