​The Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) at the Overseas Development Institute and the Post-war Reconstruction and Development Unit (PRDU) at the University of York are pleased to offer their fifth annual ‘Advanced Course on Conflict, Crisis and Transitions’. The week-long programme targeting mid-career and senior professionals will be held on the parkland campus of the University of York.

Professional development course: taxation in developing countries

This course focused on applied economics of taxation in developing countries. This course was intended to deepen understanding of the profile and potential revenue base in countries at different stages of economic development and how poverty and growth impacts of different sorts of taxation policies and administrations.

The Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) at the Overseas Development Institute and the National Institute of Emergency Management at the Chinese Academy of Governance (NIEM-CAG) are partnering to offer the first ‘Advanced course on crisis, recovery and transitions’, a week-long programme targeting mid-career and senior professionals. The course is supported by the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) at the University of Canberra and by the Post-war Reconstruction and Development Unit (PRDU) at the University of York.
