Adaptation to climate change for the most vulnerable: lessons learnt from the Adaptation Fund and beyond

This one-day conference brought together a number of experts from governments, civil society, academia to discuss current challenges and approaches to address climate adaptation.

Particular emphasis focused on the linkages between food security and adaptation, adaptation in cities in developing countries, and opportunities, challenges and lessons learnt of greater developing country ownership through direct access.

The experience related to the Adaptation Fund as one important funding instrument on adaptation received particular attention, including through the involvement of civil society members of the AF NGO Network from South Africa, Cambodia, Benin, Jamaica, Senegal, Tanzania, Kenya and Honduras.
