Taking the debate to the city: Sustainable urbanisation and displacement in Peshawar

26 June 2013 09:00 - 13:45 (GMT+05)
Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI)
Details

Over the past three decades Peshawar has grown rapidly and been transformed, in part due to multiple waves of displacement. Poorer residents, longer-term and displaced populations face significant hardships.

An overall plan and vision for the development of Peshawar is required to manage growth, ensure equitable access to services, and meet the development needs of all residents.

HPG facilitated this round-table in parnership with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), the Norwegian Refugee Council (NFC) and the Internal Displaced Monitoring Centre (IDMC).
