ODI and The World Bank, in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Economist of the Africa Region, host the launch of the Bank's Country Policy and Institutional Assessment (CPIA), 2013 Africa report. The CPIA is an annual evaluation of countries’ performance along 16 dimensions of policy and institutional quality carried out by the World Bank and the CPIA ratings are used in allocating international Development Association (IDA) resources to IDA-eligible countries. The Bank will introduce the CPIA and help participants to gain a better understanding of the CPIA and the process that determines the CPIA scores.
