Meta-evaluationsSince 2001, ALNAP has attempted to monitor the quality of evaluation reports of humanitarian action through its annual meta-evaluation, which is published as part of ALNAP’s Review of Humanitarian Action series. The meta-evaluation is carried out by two consultants, who independently rate each year’s set of reports against the ALNAP Quality Proforma. The Quality Proforma is ALNAP’s evaluation assessment tool, which is based on recognised evaluation standards and desirable qualities unique to evaluation of humanitarian action.
