Formerly a university academic at Hull and Swansea, David Booth has been at ODI since 1998, where he undertakes research, editing and advisory work and training.
His main current responsibility is the Directorship of the Africa Power and Politics Programme (APPP), a five-year consortium research undertaking supported by DFID and Irish Aid. His other work focuses on the political economy of governance-improvement and aid in sub-Saharan Africa and, to a lesser extent, Latin America. For ten years between 2000 and 2009 he was the Editor of Development Policy Review.
