Natasha Grist
  • Natasha Grist specialises in climate change, adaptation and international development, with a background in social and environmental science. Natasha is Head of Research for the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (2010-2014), of which ODI is a core partner. This research is designed to be applied and demand-led, to meet needs of developing country governments.
    Prior to joining ODI, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change. She focussed on links between climate change and sustainable development and the challenges to current models of development posed by climate change. She undertook applied research with development policy makers in the UK and West Africa creating scenarios for development futures and examining how to incorporating climate change into development planning and practice. Her PhD and MSc research was based in Brazilian Amazonia, focussing on links between livelihoods, urbanisation and natural resource management.
