RAPID - Communications Officer, Research and Policy in Development

Caroline is RAPID's Communications Research Officer and Communications Manager for the DFID-ESRC Growth Research Programme. She specialises in policy engagement and research communications, and has advised on a variety of projects and trainings for organisations including IDRC, 3ie, the World Bank, Trust Africa, the South African Presidency (PSPPD), Islam Research Programme for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Academy of Social Science (VASS), Mekong Economic Research Network (MERN), the EC Instrument for Stability (IfS) and the Center for Inclusive Growth Nepal. She was also a Communications Officer for the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) consortium during its inception phase.

Prior to ODI, Caroline managed a fundraising and communications strategy at the international media charity tve. She also has experience in TV, radio and digital production, and has worked for companies including BBC, Silver River Productions, Channel Four and Films of Record. In addition, Caroline speaks Spanish, French and Russian.

3ie grantees policy influencing clinic

Event - Workshop - 16 - 18 July 2012

The workshop aims to ensure that 3ie grantees are familiarised with principles, processes and tools of evidence-informed policy influencing, research communication strategies and principles for measuring policy impact of research and can use these to build on and improve their policy engagement strategies.
