Myra Bernardi

Myra is a development professional with expertise in the areas of aid delivery, programme management, and monitoring and evaluation. She currently serves as project manager for the Budget Strengthening Initiative (BSI), which seeks to improve public finances and the budget process in fragile and conflict-affected states.

Myra has worked in the private, public, and non-profit sectors, both in Europe and in Africa (especially Angola and Cape Verde). Most recently before joining ODI, she spent three years at the European Commission and European Parliament in Brussels.

Myra speaks French, Portuguese, Italian, German and Cape Verdean Creole. She has an MA(Oxon) in Physics from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a PGDip in Policy Studies also from SOAS.
