With Live 8, the world has come together with a common voice.
And the message could not be louder or clearer. They want
more to be done to help the world's poorest people. How will
the politicians respond? This week the world's most powerful
leaders are gathering in Gleneagles for the annual G8 Summit.
But the main focus is on the least powerful, Africa's poor,
and how to improve their development prospects. What are the

With the start of the World Cup, the world's attention has
turned to sport. While most people will be focusing on the
games themselves, the events have a significance that go
far beyond. History shows that sport - and football in particular
- have an extraordinary ability to promote tolerance and

World Cup hosts, players and international community should
