Profile: Created in 1913, the Rockefeller Foundationis a philanthropic organisation endowed by John D Rockefeller for the well-being of people throughout the world.  From its beginning, the Foundation has sought to identify, and address at their source, the causes of human suffering and need.  The Foundation is administered largely from its New York City headquarters.
