Simon Burall
Simon is a Research Fellow with CAPE. He joined ODI in June 2006 after spending seven years as Director of the One World Trust. As Director he led the team which developed the influential accountability framework used for assessing the accountability of global organisations. While at the Trust he developed experience in this field and in the engagement of civil society in global governance processes.
Simon will be responsible for developing a programme of work around reform and restructuring of the aid architecture. This work will encompass the EU, UN and Bretton Woods institutions as well as the changing role of bilateral donors. In his capacity as the facilitator of the Forum for the Future of Aid he will work with ODI's partner organisations to find ways to better engage civil society and parliaments in the debate about the reform of the aid system.
